Dr Waheed Mughal (Executive Director)

Dr Waheed Mughal completed his BA from the Government College Lahore and MA in Economics from the Forman Christian College Lahore – then the two most prestigious institutions in Pakistan. He did MSc in International Money, Finance and Investment from Brunel University London and PhD in Social and Policy Studies from Loughborough University, UK. He has also completed a course in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies from Harvard Business School, Harvard University.  He is a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) now called AdvanceHE.

Dr Mughal has 14 years of teaching experience in the UK higher education sector. He was brought up and schooled in a small village in Punjab, Pakistan. During his journey from an open sky school in a remote village, to highly reputed UK universities, he experienced different education systems, teaching and learning cultures, and social interaction with diverse learning communities. This experience furthered his teaching skills and enhanced his understanding of the culturally embedded learning needs of a diverse student population. His contributions to high quality student learning have been achieved through his innovative and effective management approaches and leadership attributes. 

Hollie Taylor (Non-Executive Member)

Hollie Taylor has worked in the legal industry for the past twenty years, gaining experience in Criminal law, Private Client Law and for the past decade, Commercial Law. Hollie is currently employed by Rolls-Royce, focusing on Aircraft Engine sales and leasing. Through her commitment to this role, she has helped establish a subsidiary short-term leasing function whilst simultaneously improving functionality and productivity. 

In addition to working in her role as a paralegal, Hollie is also involved in mentoring disadvantaged students, holds the position of board member for a Housing Association, and is a fully qualified Probation Officer. Outside of the office, Hollie enjoys travelling, the ballet, and spending time with her family..

Jimmie Yardley (Non-Executive Member)

Jimmie Yardley has 30+ years in tightly regulated public sector governance, strategy and policy roles in 6 central government departments and 6 local authorities. Committed to effective stakeholder engagement and scrutiny to deliver continuous improvement for organisations and their customers.

Oscar Bimpong (Non- Executive Member)

Oscar Bimpong is a renowned expert in mindset transformation, with 16 years of experience in empowering individuals and organizations to adopt a winning mentality. His expertise lies in harnessing the power of the mind to drive personal and professional success, transforming thought patterns from negative to positive, and aligning mindsets with organizational goals.

As the author of Mindset Revolution: Re-engineering your Mind from Prison to Purpose, Oscar has impacted countless lives globally. His book delves into the creative power of thoughts and words, the mechanics of the mind, and the concept of a winning mentality. It serves as a guide for individuals and organizations to unlock the potential of their minds, navigate the adverse effects of negative programming, and foster a positive mental attitude. The book’s core mandate is to transform negative thought patterns into a mindset that believes in achieving any goal, aligning personal aspirations with the vision, mission, and core values of organizations.

Through the Mindset Revolution Coaching Academy (MRCA), Oscar has coached a diverse clientele, including middle to senior managers, CEOs, and corporate executives. His approach focuses on disrupting established mental patterns and reprogramming them to cultivate a winning mentality, leading to improved outcomes. The MRCA offers three main programs inspired by his book: motivational sessions, corporate training programs, and mindset coaching aimed at breaking mental barriers and achieving new levels of success.

In addition to his authorship and coaching, Oscar is BBC-trained in radio operations and media, contributing to community radio and education in the UK. His work in mindset transformation and youth empowerment has earned him several awards in the UK. He also engages in extensive work in Africa, promoting mindset transformation on the continent. Oscar has ten years of teaching and education management experience in the UK higher education sector. 

Philip Webb, MBA (Non- Executive Member)

Philip comes to LSMS with 30 years’ experience spanning career consulting, IOT start-ups, central government, local government, medical education, wider public sector and professional consulting services.

Philip was born in the northwest of England and was educated in Manchester at Chethams Hospital School, and went onto gain a degree in Public Administration, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration at Middlesex University and the Lubin School of Business in New York. His early career was in PR & Marketing leading to business development roles focussing on HR support services in career management, organisation strategy, and business transformation, he latterly worked on developing a culture of innovation across the health service, which brought him into freelance and interim roles in commercial development, contract negotiation and performance management in government.

He has worked across several organisations such as Penna Consulting, Kenexa/IBM, St Andrews Healthcare, University Hospital Southampton, Crown Commercial Service, DWP, NHS Digital, NHS England, with board roles at:

  • Penna as Head of Public Sector
  • Norfolk – Anglia Commissioning Support Unit on the PCT Board
  • Wessex International Healthcare Consortia Advisory Board Member – Academic Health Science Board
  • Board of Studies for new medical school at University of Buckingham
  • Community Shop Membership Board in Cambridgeshire
  • Corporate Governance Committee (Audit) for Hunts District Council

For the last decade Philip has applied his skills to the public sector in commercial development and account management.  He was also invited in 2012 to be a founding member of the Guru Group at the Engaging for Success Movement, which was a BIS initiative, committed to the idea that there is a better way to work; a better way to enable personal growth, and organisational growth.

Most recently assisting in running a Community Interest company and being the first independent member of the Corporate Governance Committee at Huntingdon District Council.

Philip has 2 daughters who live and work in London and a partner living with him and her 2 cats in North Cambridgeshire where he enjoys reading, cycling and landscape painting.
